This website is a free, searchable directory for online history projects that can help further Black History research. This ongoing project was created to collect information about these digital Black History projects in order to benefit historians, genealogists, and family historians who are researching the lives of Black individuals and families.

Bloomington-Normal Black History Project The Bloomington-Normal Black History Project was founded in 1982 and its collections span the 19th and 20th centuries. The collection contains photographs, portraits, booklets, articles, and photocopies related to club organizations and churches of the local Black community. Born in Slavery: Slave Narratives from the Federal Writers' Project, 1936 to 1938 A collection of narratives that were colelcted during the 1930s via the Federal Writers' Project (FWP). Bronx African American Oral History Project A community project that contains collections containing essays and oral histories. Interviews were conducted with educators, clergy, social works, athletes, musicians, political leaders, business people, and community-based organization leaders from 1930 to the 1950s.
